|We are interested in developing efficient and effective frameworks for studying demography and ancestry from whole genomes. A large part of our research is focused on developing such frameworks using new bioinformatics tools, computational algorithms, and pipelines within a Bayesian framework.|
|Check out our R package, GppFst for conducting Bayesian posterior predictive simulations of population genetic statistics for classying outliers in the genome. We have also developed ThetaMater for fast estimation of effective population size from genomic data. |Working with collaborators, we have applied these tools to study demography and ancestry in a variety of cool systems, including venomous coral snakes, buzztails (i.e., rattlesnakes) and central American Boa constrictors|
